Who:
Public Printer Bob Tapella will address hundreds of librarians from around the country at the Fall Federal Depository Library Conference & Depository Library Council Meeting. Federal Depository Libraries work with the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) to provide Americans with authentic, published Government information.
What:
Tapella will announce the 2009 Federal Depository Library of the year. The award goes to a library for its outstanding service to the American public and the promotion of Federal Government information. Tapella will also discuss the successful launch of GPO’s Federal Digital System (FDsys) and how GPO is helping the Obama Administration in providing Americans with an open and transparent view on the workings of the Federal Government.
