Progress on the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) Forecast Study is happening at a rapid pace, and the June 30 deadline is quickly approaching for submitting FDLP Forecast Questionnaires. Let your library’s and state’s/region’s views be heard, and be an active participant in building the future of the FDLP. Find out more, and access the important tools you need on the project page.

Fulfillment of the FDLP Forecast Questionnaires by individual libraries, as well as states/regions, is essential in building State Focused Action Plans and ensuring that the views of all types of libraries are heard and counted. As a reminder, State Focused Action Plans are due by August 31, 2012.

Data gathered from Questionnaires and Action Plans submitted by FDLP libraries will allow the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) to understand pressing issues, goals, and viewpoints of depositories of all types of libraries; document the needs, vision, and environment in which individual depositories exist at the state level; and document the goals and initiatives of states and multi-state Federal depository regions.

Outcomes of the research will inform the strategic direction for the FDLP and the development of an FDLP National Plan.

The survey forecast questionnaire can be found on the project page. Please draft your answers to this short survey on the Word document, copy/paste your answers into the online survey tool, and send the Word document to David Walls at <[email protected]>.

GPO thanks you for assisting in this vitally important FDLP project. Your library's input is critical to a vibrant future for the FDLP.
