U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) staff are increasingly using the FDLP Community forum to discuss matters related to the Federal Depository Library Program with the FDL community. There are over 600 members of the FDLP Community site and we want to hear from you!

Currently, discussions are being held with GPO staff on:

The FDLP Community forum is an online discussion site where members can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. It is organized into four sections and contains subforums on a variety of topics.

  • General: Contains information about the forum, including announcements as well as tip and tricks.
  • FDL Discussion: This area is for discussions between FDL community members ONLY. GPO staff does join in these discussions. Topics in this section include a general discussion area, events & conferences, continuing education & training, technology & Web solutions, and more.
  • Community Groups: This area is for discussions related to specific groups. If you have a group that would like to use the FDLP Community forum for its member discussions, a subforum can be created. Groups included in this area now include the San Antonio Area Documents Group.
  • GPO Discussion: This area is for discussions that include input from GPO staff. Both members and GPO staff can start threads in this area.

Membership to the FDLP Community Forum is free and open to anyone affiliated with the Federal Depository Library Program. Your feedback gives us the insight we need to provide you with the best service possible. The FDLP Community site can be a powerful tool for uniting GPO and librarians. Come share your opinions and expertise with other dedicated library professionals.

If you are not already a member, sign-up at and join in the discussion using the "Forum" tab. Account requests are screened prior to activation to ensure that the site remains exclusive to the FDLP community.
