The Fall 2012 issue of FDLP Connection has been released. This month's theme is "Emergency Preparedness".

In her column, Superintendent of Documents, Mary Alice Baish previews programs and special events of the upcoming Depository Library Council Meeting & Federal Depository Library Conference. Meanwhile, your colleagues, Celina Nichols (University of Maryland), Hallie Pritchett (University of Georgia), and Tom Rohrig (Texas Tech University) write of disasters that struck their libraries, lessons learned, and how they moved forward; and Debbie Rabina (Pratt Institute School of Information & Library Science and Council Member) provides insight into the trends of teaching government information in library schools.

Other Fall issue features include:

  • Advice from the Director of FEMA’s Ready.gov on how depository libraries can help when disaster strikes;
  • Tips from LSCM's Education & Outreach for what to do when you have a disruption in service;
  • Get to Know the Archival Management Team;
  • Library Spotlight;
  • And more!
