Electronic Access to Public Health Reports

phr-partner-smLibrary Services and Content Management (LSCM) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH) to provide electronic access to Public Health Reports. Public Health Reports is the official journal of the U.S. Public Health Service but is published by ASPH. The peer-reviewed journal is issued bi-monthly and offers articles in three main areas: public health practice, research, and viewpoints/commentaries.

As a result of this partnership, the dissemination format for Public Health Reports will be switching from paper to electronic only on January 11, 2010. Until January 2010, the dissemination format will remain paper.

To request electronic access to Public Health Reports, interested depository libraries must complete an account validation form that is signed by the library’s director by December 18, 2009. ASPH will then begin supplying user names and passwords to all depositories that have completed the account form.

By faxing the signed form, your library has agreed to the terms on the form:

  • Username or password cannot be released to organizations or individuals other than authorized library personnel serving a public service function; and
  • Organizations or individuals outside your library cannot be allowed to connect to Public Health Reports using your username or password via your library’s computer network.
