biennial-results-infog2011-tnResults from the 2011 Biennial Survey of Federal Depository Libraries, including a results summary, breakdowns by library type, and the raw data are now available.

Over 90% of libraries completed the legally required survey, which provides important information concerning the conditions of both individual depository libraries and the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) as a whole.

The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) maintains Biennial Survey information with the official records of each depository and recommends that each depository archive and pass on this information to successive staff members.

In addition to the full results, this year GPO has created a helpful and engaging infographic to highlight the top results. An infographic is a graphic visual representation of information, data, or knowledge designed to present complex information quickly and clearly. Symbols and other design elements are often used together to enhance the visual impact and message.

GPO would like to thank the libraries that participated in the 2011 Biennial Survey of Federal Depository Libraries.
