FDLP Community Blog.As busy information professionals, it can become difficult to stay current on and participate in events, releases, trends, et cetera. On the other hand, as information professionals, our desire to share our respect for information and interact with like-minded professionals can be insatiable.

We at the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) are passionate about Federal information products, technologies, and trends. We are also deeply connected to the Federal depository library community. Due to financial constraints, our ability to connect in person can be limited; however, GPO staff can share their professional expertise and perspectives through the FDLP Community site.

GPO staff will begin blogging on a variety of topics. Our first contributing blogger will be Caleb Robinson. His blog, “Acquired Tastes,” will feature his insights on new and interesting Federal information resources that are in the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). As other GPO bloggers begin their journey, we will notify the community. View Caleb’s blog as well as all of the other blogs that are already on the FDLP Community site.

FDLP Community site members can follow the bloggers and provide comments to their insights. In addition, we invite you to blog about topics that are near and dear to you. Meanwhile, keep an eye on the site’s “recent activities” and see what else is going on throughout the community.

We look forward to sharing our experiences with you and learning more about the lives and journeys of our fellow information professionals who are scattered throughout the United States.
