We are just days away from the Spring Depository Library Conference (DLC) in San Antonio Texas and we hope that you are just as excited as GPO to see and interact with new and familiar faces. From the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO), two of the new faces will be Public Printer William Boarman and Superintendent of Documents Mary Alice Baish. Of the 150 people currently registered for the Spring DLC, 29 will be new attendees.

Many librarians know Mary Alice from her previous accomplishments as the Director of the Government Relations Office at the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) and as a founding member of OpenTheGovernment.org. Most recently, she was featured last week on FedInsider.com in "Librarian Takes on World's Foremost Collection", where she talked about what she feels are the two major challenges facing GPO. While a longtime advocate and familiar face to the library community, this will be her first speaking engagement as the Superintendent of Documents.

Come meet Mary Alice and GPO staff at the "Meet and Greet" session on Monday, April 4th at 9:15 a.m. Afterward, hear the Public Printer and Superintendent of Documents make their debut speeches about GPO and the FDLP. Other sessions during the Meeting will feature FDsys, the FDLP Desktop, as well as educational programs from community members. The Meeting will also feature a welcome reception on Monday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Riverwalk hotel.

View the schedule from the Spring DLC event page to plan your trip.

Online registration will close at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31st. On-site registration will be available.
