The Public Printer of the United States Bob Tapella recently visited the Central University Libraries at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. While in Dallas visiting the GPO Regional Office, he took advantage of the opportunity to see the Federal depository library collection and services at this active, large facility and to discuss the FDLP with the staff. The Government Information Department and the Libraries' Web pages outline the numerous services available to researchers. Notably, the library provides access to digitized “Historic Government Publications from World War II”, publications in the FDLP  from 1939-1945 that represent “all facets of the war effort, from military campaigns abroad to activities along the home front.”

The tour at the university included a stop at the future site of the George W. Bush Presidential Center, which will be on the SMU campus.
