The FDLP Rules and Instructions provides depository libraries with a current, consolidated resource of all required program rules and further instructions for following them. These revised Program rules and instructions support today's library operations and free, public access to FDLP resources, in all formats. The FDLP Rules and Instructions supersedes the 2018 Legal Requirements and Program Regulations of the Federal Depository Library Program

Keep your eye out on FDLP News for an announcement about training to learn more about how Program rules have been updated. A recording of the training will also be made available. Further, there will be an opportunity to sign up for consultations with the Library Services & Content Management (LSCM) Outreach team to ask questions and explore new options and flexibilities for your library regarding depository operations and services.

Additional guidance and best practices will be provided at a later date to demonstrate aspirational goals and model depository operations outside of required rules and instructions of the Program.
