Positions Available at GPO: Technical Services Librarians

The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking Technical Services Librarians to join the Library Services & Content Management (LSCM) team. The incumbents will perform a wide variety of technical services tasks associated with all aspects of life cycle management of Government information. The work specifically requires the incumbents to learn workflows including processes and procedures associated with content acquisitions, bibliographic control, library technical services support, serials management, and quality control. The incumbents will also identify appropriate U.S. Government information resources to be acquired for all Programs in LSCM and will perform customer outreach by researching and answering questions concerning issues related to acquisitions, cataloging, serials control, and information product processing. These two positions will also be assigned to work on the retro media project, which will analyze material housed in the FDLP libraries in CD, DVD, or other formats.
