Three titles historically had their selection limited to regionals, or regionals and law libraries. They include:

Title SuDoc Item Number
U.S. Congressional Serial Set (Bound edition) Y 1.1/2: 1008-F
Congressional Record (Bound edition) X 1.1: 0993-A-01
Supreme Court Decisions (Slip Opinions) JU 6.8/B: 0740-A-02

The Superintendent of Documents announced effective April 1, 2022, selection of these titles is available to all depository libraries. Libraries have until midnight April 22, 2022, to add the paper format item number to their DSIMS selection cart. The item number(s) will become active shortly thereafter. If the deadline is missed, the item number(s) may still be added to the DSIMS selection cart, but will become active on October 1, 2022.

Some titles may have to be shipped short until order quantities stabilize, in which case, regional copies and Preservation Steward copies will be prioritized.

Regionals that are currently shipping any of these titles to another library for housing may deselect the item numbers when the corresponding item numbers are active on the housing library’s item selection profile. A Selective Housing Agreement for regional copies should be submitted to notify GPO of the arrangement.

Reminder: A DSIMS Quick Start Guide is available for those needing a refresher on adding item numbers to their DSIMS selection cart.
