Description:
Often called the "congressional watchdog," the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) is an independent, nonpartisan agency that works for Congress. GAO conducts reviews of Federal programs and spending, and provides Congress and Federal agencies with objective, reliable information to improve Government performance and protect taxpayer resources. Most recently, GAO has reported on and made recommendations to improve the Federal response to COVID-19. To share this message with the Nation, GAO conducts outreach on a number of social media platforms, including a top-rated podcast –The Watchdog Report. GAO’s podcast host and producer Holly Hobbs will provide an overview of GAO and the resources available to you.
