Reminder: Action needed by Midnight September 30, 2024, for Item Selection Update Cycle

Item Update Cycle

Depository libraries have until midnight (EDT), September 30, 2024, to add any unlimited distribution paper-format titles to their library’s item selection profile. New selections will become effective on October 1, 2024 (Federal fiscal year 2025).

Please note:

• Libraries should focus on unlimited distribution titles in the Print Distribution Titles (PDT) List (see below). Print depository publications selected now must be cataloged at your library and retained for at least five years. 
• All 20-copy and 50-copy titles on the PDT List have already been allocated and may not be selected.
• EL-format item numbers may be added to a library’s selection profile at any time of the year, and those selections go into effect immediately.
• All item number deselections always take effect immediately. 

Changes to item selection profiles are made in the Depository Selection Information Management System (DSIMS).
