DLC Survey on Managing FDLP Digital Publications in Library Catalogs
The Depository Library Council’s (DLC) Collection and Discovery Services Subcommittee (CDSS) is conducting a brief survey about collection development and management of digital Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP)publications.
Managing catalog records and discovery of digital FDLP publications are topics that often raise questions and concerns at DLC meetings and Federal Depository Library Conferences. The transition to a digital-first FDLP makes these more pressing. CDSS wants to understand your library’s practices, needs, and underlying issues to determine what actions it can take to help depository libraries with digital collection development and management.
CDSS invites you to complete the survey, and share the link with others in your library who work with FDLP publications. Submit the survey by April 8, 2024. Please note that personally identifiable information will be removed from the publicly accessible survey results upon request. Should you have any questions as you consider responses, please submit them to askGPO.
The members of CDSS greatly appreciate your feedback. Initial results of the survey will be shared at the Spring 2024 DLC Virtual Meeting on May 2.
