Description:
This webinar will provide both existing and potential Preservation Steward partners with an overview of the item-level collection inventories required to document these print collections. During the webinar, we will cover inventory requirements, review the timeframe aspect of these partnership collections, and provide guidance and “tips and tricks” for extracting metadata from a partner library’s integrated library system (ILS).

- The difference between “current,” “historic,” and “current and historic” Preservation Steward collections
- Metadata required for item-level Preservation Steward inventories
- How to assess condition for Preservation Steward collection items (Fine/Good/Fair/Poor)
- The process for compiling and submitting historic vs. current timeframe Preservation Steward inventories to GPO
