  • Speaker: Jamie Flood, Senior Wikipedian and Outreach Specialist, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agricultural Library (NAL)
  • Learning outcomes: The USDA NAL has had a Wikipedian-in-Residence for five years who helps facilitate Wikipedia editing among employees and public participants using USDA, NAL, and other partners' collections, research, and digital content to update, edit, and write Wikipedia articles about research and other topics related to equity. During this presentation, there will be an overview of NAL’s Wikipedia program, what events look like and topics that have been covered, and the impact so far.

For those participating via a desktop or laptop computer (preferred method), a WebEx plug-in must be installed (one-time only). Download instructions. Some features will not be available for users participating with a tablet or smartphone. Devices need to have a WebEx app installed from the device’s app store, which may take time. After installation, the app will ask for you to Allow or Deny permissions.
