Established in 1992 and dedicated in 1993, the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies is located in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, is one of the Defense Department’s five regional security studies centers, and collaborates with the German Ministry of Defense. It addresses regional and transnational security issues for these two organizations and has an extensive multinational alumni network of security professionals. Areas of coverage include European security theater cooperation and strategies and objectives; support for such activity in the following Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan; along with a supporting relationship with Mongolia. This webinar will explains this institution’s instructional activities and document its research output to enable enhanced user understanding of security issues in the geographic regions it covers.
