2022 Fall DLC: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Information Resources

Since its initial establishment in 1775 and nearly 250 years of institutional change and evolution since then, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has had a profound influence on U.S. military activities and controversial influences on U.S. civilian infrastructure and environmental history, including environmental policy. The Army Corps has Centers of Expertise in multiple subjects including climatic cold regions infrastructure, curating and managing archaeological collections, historical analyses of its programs, and domestic and international offices covering its activities in these regions. The Army Corps of Engineers also works with the military's Unified Combatant Commands in the event of military contingency, disaster, and humanitarian response operations. This institution has also digitized a significant variety of its information resources which can help users gain enhanced understanding of the enduring importance of this agency and its multifaceted policymaking.
