Special Selection Offer: NASA 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse Kit

GPO has acquired NASA 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse Kits. We were not able to acquire regular distribution copies of this kit, but 100 kits are available as Special Selection Offers (SSOs). Any library may request one kit for their depository collection.

The kit contains English and Spanish fact sheets, safety flyers, a pinhole projector activity, eclipse map, and three posters. We also have 50 annular solar eclipse two-pocket folders that will be distributed until copies are exhausted. With the annular solar eclipse occurring on October 14th, GPO has opted to send out this SSO alert as quickly as possible. As a result, cataloging for this kit has not yet been completed. We will send the kit to requesting libraries as soon as possible, but will not be able to ship any materials in the event of a Government shutdown.

Publications acquired through Special Selection Offers are subject to the same retention requirements as other tangible materials distributed to depository libraries.
