Update to the List of Classes: Library Action Needed by Monday, April 15, 2024

LSCM continues to update the formats available for selection in the List of Classes to reflect the implementation of the digital FDLP. Previous updates to the List of Classes impacted primarily the titles without separate EL format item numbers, and did not impact individual library selection profiles. Next, LSCM staff will be inactivating item numbers for tangible formats of titles that also have an EL format item number in the List of Classes. If your library selects a tangible format item number that is no longer available, it will be removed from your library’s item selection profile. Use this spreadsheet to identify titles that currently have both tangible and EL format item numbers.  

To ensure that your library selects the EL format item numbers of any affected title in the List of Classes, we recommend that you download your item selection profile by Monday, April 15, 2024, to capture your current selections and help isolate where the EL format item numbers may need to be selected. Item selection profiles can be downloaded from the FDLP Data Manager, DSIMS, or Item Lister.  At any time, EL format item numbers can be added to your selection profile via DSIMS and will become active immediately in your library’s item selection profile. A DSIMS tutorial is available.

Tangible format item numbers for titles on the Print Distribution Title (PDT) List are still actively distributed, so they will not be inactivated. These item numbers will remain on the selection profiles of libraries that currently select them.
