GPO Produces Materials for President Trump’s Inauguration
The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) worked with the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) to produce printed materials for the 60th Presidential Inauguration. GPO teammates designed, produced, and procured materials over the course of the last year to support the JCCIC. GPO’s role with Inaugurations dates to at least 1913.
GPO used secure design and printing techniques to produce more than 220,000 color-coded tickets and more than 17,000 secure access credentials for the President’s Inauguration.
Materials include the following:
- Tickets
- Invitations
- Stationery
- Program packet kits
- Parking passes
- Maps
- Signage
- Secure access credentials
“The production of these materials is the result of a year-long team effort from GPO’s procurement operation, printing production, secure credential, and design teams,” said GPO Director Hugh Nathanial Halpern. “Many attendees will hold on to these materials as historical reminders of President Trump’s inauguration. I congratulate all our teammates who helped produce these items and thank the JCCIC for allowing GPO to be a part of the process once again.”
GPO has a long history of contributing to the security of the Nation by producing the U.S. passport for the Department of State and border crossing cards for the Department of Homeland Security. Producing secure documents for the President’s inauguration is an extension of GPO serving as a provider of secure credentials for the Federal Government.
