Obsolete Promotional Items: What to Replace!

Over the years, the U.S. Government Publishing Office has offered a wide variety of FDLP promotional materials for use by Federal depository libraries. Numerous materials have become obsolete due to factors such as:

  • Changes in products and services (GPO Access > FDsys > govinfo > GovInfo)
  • URL and interface changes
  • GPO’s name change (Printing Office > Publishing Office)
  • Contact information

To help depository staff ensure the promotional materials you are sharing with patrons is current, please take a look at this collection of obsolete promotional materials, and discard any materials that you are currently displaying or distributing at your library.

The most up-to-date, free promotional items from GPO can be ordered by visiting our ordering page. From here, please click on, “Log In To The Ordering Site.”

Do you have a promotional item on display at your library that you don’t see here? Use askGPO, and let us know about it so we can add it to our inventory. Please use the category, “Marketing, social media, or promotional materials.”
