Description:
Following the Depository Library Council’s open forum, “Depository Libraries in a Time of Stay-at-Home Orders” held during the spring 2020 DLC Virtual Meeting, the Digital Depository Libraries Working Group was asked to provide a summary of the session and an outline of lessons learned from libraries offering depository services in a fully remote, virtual environment. Participants indicated that another opportunity for discussion would be helpful, and a second forum, “Planning for Reopening: FDLP Libraries Recovering from the COVID-19 Pandemic,” was held in July. Insights and experiences were shared by the depository community at each meeting. Please join this session to hear about the lessons that were learned from the two events and to engage in conversation to explore potential next steps for Council’s consideration.
