Description

The Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP) is the search tool for print and online or digital titles of the National Bibliography of U.S. Government Publications. The National Bibliography is made up of publications from across the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the U.S. Government.

In the CGP you will find bibliographic information about U.S. Government resources and, when available, links to digital resources. It is important to remember the CGP is a bibliography, not a document repository. The CGP will only provide links to full-text resources that are the official, authoritative copy of an online resource.

Several short tutorial recordings are available for making use of the CGP. The duration of the recordings range from less than a minute to just over 3 minutes.

Tutorials include:

  • Welcome
  • Basic Search
  • Advanced Search
  • Expert Search
  • Browse Search
  • Boolean Operators and Special Characters
  • Results Management Tools

The recordings, along with other helpful CGP tips, can be found on the CGP Help page.
