Implementation of Supt Doc Policies

This letter exchange is GPO Director Vance-Cooks’ request for the Joint Committee on Printing’s approval of a Superintendent of Documents Policy that permits regional depository libraries to discard FDLP receipts under certain conditions.  The response from The Honorable Gregg Harper, Chair of the Joint Committee on Printing (JCP), is included in this file.  The JCP approved the policy, but added another stipulation — there is a minimum of four tangible copies of the publication exist in the Federal Depository Library Program, which are geographically distributed.
