Request for Comments: Revised Regional Depository Library Online Selections Policy

The Superintendent of Documents seeks your thoughts about Regional Depository Libraries Selecting Solely Online Materials, a proposed revision of Public Policy Statement SOD-PPS-2021-1. The revision of the policy recognizes the establishment of the National Collection Service Areas and their potential role in collection management decisions for regional depositories regarding online content.

This policy will allow titles to become eligible for regional depository libraries to select the online (EL) version of titles without having to select a corresponding paper version when there is a Print Selector, or a Preservation Steward for current receipts, agreement in place within the regional depository’s National Collection Service Area.
