Introduces the authoritative criminal justice, juvenile justice and substance abuse products and services available from the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS). Demonstration on searching the NCJRS Virtual Library of more than 10,000 full-text documents, and the NCJRS Abstracts Database, a virtual catalog containing more than 210,000 document summaries. Many of the Office of Justice Programs-produced documents and final reports are unique to the NCJRS collection, and a special emphasis is placed on collecting “grey literature,” such as State and local government reports, conference papers and other seldom-indexed publications.
