Overview of the 2012 Census of Governments, and it's related programs that provide information on state and local government activity.  The Census Bureau provides information on the organization, employment, and finances of the more than 89,000 state and local governments in the United States.

Information about government publications at the Library, including collections policies, means of acquisition, and services available.  Description of the division's special government collections.  Discussion and demonstration Chronicling America, a free national database of historic newspapers, sponsored jointly by the Library of Congress and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
